Weight Loss Coaching w/ Julia Havey

Lose up to 50 lbs in the next 26 weeks!

Ok, I have a question: What is the difference between net carbs and total carbs and how do you figure net carbs?

I bought some Atkins bars and it said "only 3g net carbs" on the front of the box but the nutritional label said Total carbs 12g.

Can someone explain this to me please?

Also, I exercise in the morning right after I get up, but don't eat until 2 or 3 hours later, sometimes 4 hours later. Is this bad? And if you have to eat breakfast, does just drinking juice count?

I think the makers purposely confuse us. Go w/ the number 12, 3 means the sugars, but a calorie is a calorie and a carb is a carb, so to speak.

it's still a low carb product, it's atkins afterall, but keep your eye on calories more than anything! in my opinion!

Yes, you should eat before working out, my husband's quote is "fat burns in a fuel of carbohydrates" meaning, eat some carbs before working out. I think a bar and an orange would be better than juice
