How have you been? How are you doing on your program? I am just now really starting to focus on making healthier choices. I have been increasing my water intake, choosing more vegetables and fruits when I eat, and my daughter and I have started walking in the evenings. Although -- it's not all going so smoothly. I have been struggling with late night snacking . . . and I'm not even hungry when I do this. I've got to figure out what's driving me to the food in the evenings.

I am always interested in learning new things about food and nutrition, also one step at a time, and it took me many steps to find out everything in my comment, believe me. And I am still not sure everything I have found out is totally correct, therefore my stressing that it is my opinion - not because I am totally self-absorbed!
You are very kind and concerned, and you are right, you should offer the same kindness to yourself because you deserve it!
Today IS the first day of my life! Looking back does nothing for me, and today is a gift. Waking up to a home, a job I love, friends and family who drive me crazy (in the right way), and challenges I have chosen to take on to enhance my life. The vicebusting way of life is a tough challenge because it is not "instant pudding", but the guidelines are generally easy to remember and apply. It's basically about believing in yourself in every aspect of your life, including what you eat, drink, and the activities you chose to energize.
